What Is Disc Brakes And How Do They Work

Questions:What is Disc Brakes and How do they work?
Answer:
Vehicle disc brakes are responsible for stopping the tires. Disc brakes consist of three main components: pads, calipers and rotors. The brake caliper is responsible for squeezing the brake pads to stop the rotor.
The rotor is a circular metal disk connected to the tire hub. Each time the brake pedal is pressed, the calipers are pressed against the rotor. To stop the tires, the brake pads create the friction necessary to reduce the speed of rotation of the disc. Friction also converts the vehicle's kinetic energy into thermal energy, which is then discharged through the ventilation holes of the disc brake.
