What Is Radiator And How It Work

Question: What is radiator and how it work?
Answer:
Most of your vehicle's energy is converted to heat. Just remember that all the moving parts of your engine cause a lot of friction and give off a lot of thermal energy. The oil in your engine and your vehicle's exhaust system provide some of the heat, the cooling system the rest. Your cooling system is responsible, for lack of a better word, to cool your engine. The cooling system must ensure that the engine does not overheat or fail.
Your engine radiator is one of the most important parts of your cooling system. A special thermostat constantly monitors the temperature of your engine. If the engine overheats, the thermostat releases engine coolant or antifreeze from the radiator to the engine. The antifreeze migrates through the engine pipes and channels to absorb heat and cool the engine. The antifreeze then returns to the radiator to cool down. The antifreeze cools down in three different ways. First of all, your radiator contains many small chambers that cool the antifreeze. All excess heat escapes through the colder walls. Secondly, your engine uses a fan between the engine and the radiator and, thirdly, the radiator uses the air that is blown into the engine through the vehicle's grille to facilitate the cooling process. Once the antifreeze has cooled down, it can be released back into the engine to keep it cool and run smoothly.
