Solve 2003 Honda CRV Key Problem

I bought a used 2003 Honda CRV. I'm facing a problem at the driver's door. I have 2 keys and a remote control. Sometimes I have to use the key to open and close the door, since I can't always count on the remote control. I brought the CRV to 3 local key dealers. They told me that all Honda vehicles have the same key problem. which means that problems begin after 2-3 years. Then they told me they had to change the internal lever and they would only give me a 6 month warranty. Subsequently, they are no longer responsible. The agent tells me that only the entire block will be replaced, as it will not be repaired.

Answer:
If the remote control does not block any of the ports, the problem is with the remote control. You can look at the top of the remote control and you should see a small red LED that lights up when you press any key.
This is a battery indicator on the remote control. Normally you should check the battery first, as this would explain the temporary blockage. The batteries are cheap, so replace them and see if the problem has been solved.
If all the other doors are locked but the driver's door is not, the problem is not with the remote control, but with the lock in the door. The door lock actuator is an electric motor that pushes the lock upward to unlock it and pulls it down to lock the door. Often the units break down in one direction and work in the other so that the door can be unlocked but not locked. If the remote control locks and unlocks the other 3 floors, the problem is with the actuator.
There is no problem with the key or connection if you can unlock and lock the door with the key. Bringing it to a blacksmith is not the right place. Contact a Honda dealer or a mechanical workshop for diagnosis. If repairs are performed by a Honda dealer, you will receive a 1-year parts and labor warranty.

  1. The wide boot aperture and low loading floor make Honda CRV 2020 easy to load and unload stuff into the boot.
